Now hiring for the 2009-2010 season!
1. Who are we?
Snowology is a small company run by Monica Abrosimoff and Mike
Jubb. We offer fully catered chalet holidays in Sainte Foy.
During the 2009-2010 season, we will be running Chalet Sache (sleeping
12-15 guests). We will also be taking on some extra weeks in Chalet
Nicole and Chalet Anne (both sleeping 8-10 guests).
We pride ourselves on our extremely high repeat guest rate. Our
focus is to provide high quality, one-of-a-kind chalet holidays.
We aim to exceed the expectations of each of our guests. We provide
excellent, imaginative food and present it each evening with loads
of energy and enthusiasm - like a dinner party in our home every
night!
We consistently go out of our way to ensure a fun, lively atmosphere
in our chalets. (This may include entertaining our guests by playing
games, holding quiz nights, doing magic shows for children etc).
We ski with our guests during the week (in Sainte Foy or on Ski
Safari to one of the surrounding resorts) taking photos and videos
during the day, which we then show in the chalets in the evenings.
We make a DVD of the highlights set to music for our guests to take
home at the end of their week.
Snowology hosts and chefs sit down with guests each evening to
enjoy dinner and we find that we get to know people much better
as a result. Our guests go home feeling as though they have gained
friends rather than been waited on by staff.
Monica and Mike are both keen skiers and snowboarders. We chose
Sainte Foy because it is a unique resort with a huge off-piste area.
It is small and different, just like Snowology!
This will be Snowology's seventh season providing catered ski chalet
holidays.
2. Who are you?
We are looking for energetic people to join our team next season
(2009-2010).
There are 3 positions available:
One Chef

You must be in possession of work permit for the UK, have a valid

3. The jobs
The hours are long and the job is physically and emotionally demanding

be challenging but it is also rewarding. You will be part of a team
that makes people happy week after week by taking care of details
and delivering great holidays.
We will work closely with every staff member, reviewing their performance
continually and concluding with a formal performance appraisal.
Although you can expect hard work, there will be plenty of time

4. Sainte Foy
Sainte Foy is a small resort located in the Tarentaise Valley in
the French Alps, surrounded by the giant 'ski factories' of Tignes,
Les Arcs and Val D'Isere. Sainte Foy is unique because it is not
well known and has a distinct small town feel. It offers quiet pistes,
very few lift queues and fantastic off-piste possibilities.
Sainte Foy is an extraordinary place to spend a season. However,
it does not have the party atmosphere or the big nightclubs of the
mega-resorts. A job here is a much better suited for someone whose
priorities are skiing and spending a season in the mountains rather
than someone who is looking for a party every night.
5. Time frame
Our season runs from November 24, 2000 - April 30, 2010. You must
be available and committed for the entire period. There will be
approximately 2.5 weeks of training and set-up before our first
guests arrive in the middle of December (part of this training may
be in the UK). We expect to be busy every week of the season.
Our recruiting process for the 2009- 2010 season is now underway.
Please read the attached job descriptions, and then get in touch
by email indicating which position you are interested in.
