28th December 2008 to 4th January 2009
Three families came on their first holiday together and judging by how well they all got on it won't be their last.
What an amazing week had by all. With lots of talk about drop bears and marmottes you had to be on the look out!!
Werewolf won them over with more than 7 games in a row.
The quiz winners were the children, they showed the adults just how clever they were.
And then there was the skiing and boarding - most of this group had never been on snow before - their experience gained on dry slopes in the UK. They were on the reds all over the resort before the week was out - amazing.
Brandon : Well we cant say enough about this amazing little guy. Just seven years old and yet he can tackle every run on his board!! The pros will have to watch out for him in the future.
Greg : Off piste and tricks were his speciality. He was a total natural and looked like he had been boarding for years.
Amy : What amazing skiing from someone who has never been on snow before, she didn't let Jean Pierre out of her sights. Always a big smile.
Beth : Beth's skiing went from great to superb during the week. At this rate she will be as good as her Dad in no time!
Ellen : With pose and grace Ellen conquered the reds with ease.
David : In control, he cruised the pistes and checked out the amazing views. A two star skier, he donated one to charity at the end of the week.
Margaret : A special birthday on the first day. And what a day it was - she was enjoying the views from the top of the mountain before it even got to lunchtime!!
Willy : Took to snowboarding like a drop bear to snow and just kept on going. It seems he has his own generator which keeps on and on.
James : He hadn't skied for 20 years and we would never have known! He exhausted his instructor Nico after just a few days and mixed time on the mountain with relaxing time with Carolyn very nicely.
Carolyn : With relaxing and enjoying the views top her list Carolyn was the chalet queen for the week - your secret of loving the company of the kids is safe with us.
"Fantastic views in every direction"
"(The chalet was) very comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome and at home"
"We had the most fun we have ever had."
"We will miss you all (heaps). Hope to see you next year."
"Dane was a great cook, Kendall looked after us so well."
