Chalet Sache 5 April 2009
Three families joined together for a fabulous week of Easter fun. Two of the families had stayed with us before and they were joined by Sanjiv and Sangeeta and their lovely twins Shree and Esha.
There were games in the chalet including an Easter egg hunt (left by the elusive Easter bunny) and some egg painting. All attended the "Beside the piste picnic" and they built a wonderful snowman (see pics) - the winner of the tallest snowman competition. There was sledding races against kids from the other chalets with lots of laughs and of course - werewolf.
Monsieur Poubelles made a visit at the end of the week with a couple of magic wands that were longer than usual. Well done to all of his assistants.
Anum - and all of a sudden - she could ski !! Time spent with instructor Gwillem or between the legs of mum and dad suddenly paid off and off she went with a big smile. Fantastic!
Amay - His second week skiing and he was away. He joined the ski school (he couldn't wait) and by the end of the week was up the lift and down the green run (and blue runs!) repeatedly.
Armaan - he got back on his skis and was quickly away. Confident on blue runs by the end of the week and sled at twice the speed of light.
Shree - her first week on skis and she did really well, making the most of her classes. Another who was skiing the blues by the end of the week. Well done.
Esha - she jumped onto her skis like she had been born on them! Bookmakers were flooded with bets on this young lady to be at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She may have to wait a year or two longer than that but I've got £5 on it happening sometime.
Aashni - her second week on skis and it went really well. She skied so well in her ski school, making friends and learning some great technique - Well done.
Nishka - great buddies with Aashni the two of them were a couple of smiling faces that were great to see on the mountain. Nishka laughed a tremendous amount during the sledding.
Sanjiv - a beginner this week he did really well and kept at it brilliantly so was able to ski the trickier runs at the end of the week.
Anup - his second week and he started slowly slowly proclaiming that he didn't really like it! By the end of the week his smile could be seen from the other side of the valley and we all know he is hooked! A master werewolf.
Sangeeta - progressed in leaps and bounds this week. She was skiing the blues with confidence by the end of the week. Very well done.
Rakhee - Took her skiing to the next level. If you can't find her she's in the hot tub! Watch out if you're her target in a snowball fight!
Kan and Tinu - catch up with these guys if you can - they whizz around the mountain at amazing speeds with or without a child between their legs. Like all of the adults this week they did a great job of getting everyone to the right place at the right time. Well done Tinu for all of your planning.
